Weatherization
What is it?
Michigan’s Weatherization Program is a FREE federally funded, low income residential energy conservation program. The goal of the program is to reduce utility bills, which makes the home safe and more comfortable in any season.
How does it work?
We start with an over the phone home assessment and income qualification, which is 200% or less of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Then, an inspection is done to determine the scope of the project. If your home is selected, then you would fill out an application and the process begins. The whole process can take some time, so don’t delay contacting us!
What services does weatherization include?
Complete home Energy Audit with blower door test
Wall, attic, or foundation insulation
Air Sealing
Repair of minor attic and wall leaks prior to insulating
Clean, tune, repair, or replace heating system
Installation of programmable thermostats
Repair or replace water heaters
Repair of doors and windows
