Early Head Start

Early Head Start is a program for children and families from pregnant woman to three years and includes:

  • Home-based services (staff comes to the home) with virtual option

  • Activities for you and your infant or toddler

  • Ideas on parenting

  • Support for health and nutrition education

  • Support during pregnancy

  • Information regarding community resources

  • Referral services

Other services provided by Early Head Start include:

  • Support groups

  • Family Fun Days

  • Transition into appropriate pre-school programs

  • Parent involvement opportunities

Enrollment in Early Head Start is done year-round, based on available openings. Eligibility for the program includes:

  • Income level

  • Homelessness

  • Foster care

  • Family needs
